1. Kanda Matsuri:

2. Tenjin Matsuri, Osaka:
Osaka is famous as the second Capital of Japan. This festival has an amazing history of more than 1000 years. It is one of the three major festivals of Japan. It takes place at Tenmangu Shrine in the heart of Osaka city.
This festival includes dance performances, musical performances throughout the city. The most eye-catching event during this festival is the procession of numerous boats in the river of Okawa. This festival is also famous for its various and magnificent delicacies.

3. Tanabata Matsuri:
It is one of the three greatest festivals of Japan. It is also popularas the Star Festival. This festival marks the beginning of summer in japan. A popular legend has associated with this festival in Japanese tradition.
The legend narrates that there were two lovers who live in two different corners of the galaxy. But the most sad part about these two lover’s is that they have allowed to meet each other only once in a year.
During this day they meet and are so glad and happy that they fulfill all your desires. This festival celebration takes all over the Japan including Temples, shrines, schools, corporate offices, large companies, and lot more places.
On this auspicious day all Japanese people write their wishes on piece of paper and that have hanged on bamboo branches made of paper.

4. Awa Odori:
Thus is also popular as fools dance. It is a vibrant dance festival celebrated every year in Japan. It is celebrated throughout the month of August in temples present in every part of Japan.
Japanese people believe that on this day the souls of dead people return temporarily on earth and to celebrate a dance known as Bon Odori.
Awa Odori is specialty of this dance that was born in Tokushima, on the island of Shikoku. It is a dance competition festival, lot of people take part in this festival with their teams to show case their talent and performance. 5. Nebuta Matsuri, Aomori:
It is one of the major festivals in the country of Japan. It has large floats called Nebuta in the form of ancient and brave
warriors are famous throughout the world. This festival attracts millions of tourists all around the world. Dancers who are known as Haneto has floats following the music generated by drums and flutes. All the dancers on this day wear traditional costumes and anyone can join during the dance until they have their costumes. This traditional dancing costume is easily available throughout the city.
